Henry Reed

I have wanted to be a musician for as long as I can remember. Both my parents play professionally which is one of the reasons I was so inspired to start lessons at the age of 8. Throughout my school years I heavily identified myself with my craft, and soon everyone else did as well. I became proficient on all percussion instruments before high school even started, including snare drum, timpani, marimba, drum set and all the assorted toys. I play to this day because it gives me shivers down my spine; any music you listen to is exponentially more immersive and entertaining when you have instrumental knowledge! I plan to be band director one day in a school, so any practice I can get prior to that position will make me a more successful teacher.
