LFN has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of. The team has been incredibly enthusiastic, supportive and responsible when helping me arrange these workshops to spread my Kombucha love and knowledge! My heart is fulfilled by sharing my enthusiasm for Kombucha with others.

I just want to thank LFN for making my recent class possible. I really appreciate the way LFN helps people who have something great to share get together with people who would like to learn that cool stuff. So thanks, and I'm excited to continue this adventure with future classes!

Vinita, the facilitator, not only demystified how to use Indian spices and gave us some great ideas on how to use them but we also learned what they mean to the Indian culture. I really enjoyed understanding the history of women in the kitchen. Thank you for a wonderful class and looking forward to future ones!

I love tarts because they are easy to make and can work for any meal. My clients are crazy about them and I hope you enjoy them too.
We are going to start by talking about the different types of dough. We will use two techniques to prepare the dough, and then roll it and cook it. We will bake three items, two savory tarts and one sweet pie. After all this hard work we will enjoy these items with a glass of wine in the garden.
We are going to prepare and enjoy:
- Vegetarian savory tart
- Gluten free non-vegetarian tart
- Lemon pie
We are going to learn how to:
- Roll the dough
- Make meringue and lemon curd
- Apply a basic egg recipe for any tart
Kombucha is a lightly effervescent fermented drink of sweetened black and/or green tea that is used as a functional food. It is produced by fermenting the tea using a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast, or "SCOBY".
Before teaching students how to brew Kombucha and putting them to work, I first pour them samples of various Kombucha flavors, which we enjoy with a loaf of my sourdough bread. We'll also taste my other recent fermented creations. While students brew their tea, I discuss the history, benefits and process of fermentation. Each student goes home at the end of the night with a fresh young brew they made themselves and one of my highly coveted SCOBYs to transform that tea into delicious Kombucha.

Vinyasa yoga, in which movement is synchronized to the breath, is a term that covers a broad range of yoga classes. This style is sometimes also called flow yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. The breath becomes an important component because the teacher will instruct you to move from one pose to the next on an inhale or an exhale. Vinyasa is literally translated from Sanskrit as meaning "connection," according to Ellen Stansell, PhD, RYT, a scholar of yogic literature and Sanskrit.
Lila teaches a creative vinyasa-style yoga class that fits the level of her students. She pairs movement with breath, which allows each asana to unfold into the next, creating a dance-like flow. Honoring the energy of the chakra system, each class balances the body inside and out.
