[SF] Mindful Eating

from 55.00

Mindful eating is based on the Buddhist concept of mindfulness, which involves being fully aware of what is happening within and around you at the moment. Applied to eating, mindfulness includes noticing the colors, smells, flavors, and textures of your food; chewing slowly; getting rid of distractions like TV or reading; and learning to cope with guilt and anxiety about food.

This class will focus on eating mindfully covering topics of intention, awareness of food, eating with all senses involved, honoring the seasonal ingredients. The goal of this class will be to awaken the awareness of eating any meal with a total focus on it.

In this class, we will practice Mindful Eating with a bowl of mixed vegetable soup with peas and beans served separately. We will learn to create a simple template for easy soup making and understand the tools to savor every mouthful.
